CINCINNATI, March 2, 2010 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G) (NYSE: PG) will release its biggest brandSAVER coupon booklet ever on Sunday, March 7, with more than $160 in savings on some of the company's most popular products.
Plus, for every coupon redeemed, P&G will provide one day's worth of clean drinking water to a child in need through the Children's Safe Drinking Water (CSDW) Program,* P&G's philanthropic cause aimed at saving lives by providing clean drinking water to children in developing countries.
Every day more than 4,000 children in developing countries die from illness and disease related to unsafe drinking water. Simply by redeeming coupons for popular P&G products, people can make a difference and help to provide one day's worth of clean drinking water for every coupon redeemed.
This money-saving booklet will be included in newspapers delivered to more than 55 million homes across the country and feature coupons from numerous brands including PUR Water Filtration, Gillette, Pantene, Tide, Swiffer, Pampers, and CoverGirl to name a few.
The total clean drinking water donation from P&G will be based on the number of coupons redeemed starting March 7th.
For years, P&G and the Children's Safe Drinking Water Program have worked together to ensure that people around the world have clean water to drink. PUR water cleaning technology, a tiny packet developed by P&G in collaboration with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), turns 10 liters of dirty, contaminated water into clean and drinkable water.
