Save-A-Lot Opens Its Doors to Grocery Savings in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., March 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Save-A-Lot food stores, the nation's leading hard discount grocery chain, today opens its sixth store in Jacksonville, Florida. The company's newest store is located at 8000 Lem Turner Road, Jacksonville, FL 32208.

The new store is open seven days a week, Monday through Saturday 8 AM to 10 PM and 8 AM to 9 PM on Sundays. Local shoppers can expect to find excellent quality food and save an average of 20 to 40 percent on their grocery bills.

In addition to the newest store, Save-A-Lot currently operates 108 stores throughout the state, with locations in Orlando and Tampa.

The opening of Save-A-Lot offers the Jacksonville community affordable, easy access to food and brings 28 jobs full-time and part-time jobs to the area -- many of the store associates live in  the local neighborhood. The new store is 16,000 square feet, packed full of shopping staples, including quality meats and fresh produce.

Save-A-Lot is also making a $2,500 donation to Second Harvest North Florida to help with its mission to reduce hunger as part of its commitment to the Jacksonville community.
