Save-A-Lot Opens Its Doors to Grocery Savings in Benzonia

BENZONIA, Mich., April 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Save-A-Lot food stores, the nation's leading hard discount grocery chain, today opens its first store in Benzonia, Michigan. The company's newest store is located at 1579 Michigan Avenue, Benzonia.

Owned and operated by The Freeman Group, this new store is open seven days a week from 8 AM to 9 PM. Local shoppers can expect to find excellent quality food and save an average of 20 to 40 percent on their grocery bills.

In addition to the newest store, Save-A-Lot currently operates 98 stores throughout the state, with locations in Detroit and Grand Rapids. The Benzonia store is The Freeman Group's 13th Save-A-Lot location, with its 14th location scheduled to open in June. .

The opening of Save-A-Lot offers the Benzonia community affordable, easy access to food and brings 17 full-time and part-time jobs to the area—many of the store associates live in the local neighborhood. The new store is 15,381 square feet, packed full of shopping staples, including quality meats and fresh produce.
