Save-A-Lot Opens Its Doors in Opelousas

OPELOUSAS, La., Feb. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Save-A-Lot food stores, the nation's leading hard discount grocery chain, today opens its first store in Opelousas, Louisiana. The company's newest store is located at 619 Creswell.

"Save-A-Lot is committed to building stores in areas that are in need of access to fresh, nutritious food at a great price," said Danny Kerr District Manager. The new store is open seven days a week from 8 AM- 9 PM Monday through Saturday and 8 AM -8 PM Sunday. Local shoppers can expect to find excellent quality food and save an average of 20 to 40 percent on grocery bills.

In addition to the newest store, Save-A-Lot currently operates 19 stores throughout the state, with locations in New Orleans

Save-A-Lot is making a $2,500 gift card donation to Central Food Bank of St. Landry Parish to help with its mission to reduce hunger as part of their commitment to the Opelousas community.
