Saudi Aramco Deploys Smartcool Energy Efficiency Technology

VANCOUVER, July 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ - Smartcool Systems Inc. (TSXV: SSC) has begun a roll-out of the ESM™ to improve the energy efficiency of air conditioning systems in Saudi Aramco's facilities. Aramco is Saudi Arabia's national oil company and the world's largest oil company by crude oil production and exports.

Smartcool's ESM™ has undergone significant testing with Saudi Aramco, resulting in the addition of the ESM™ to Aramco's approved product purchasing Technical Information Centre.  When tested on a single air conditioning chiller providing comfort cooling to an Aramco office building, the ESM™ delivered annual energy savings of 65,883 kWh and a return on investment in 17 months.
