SASB Launches Interactive Digital Platform
SASB Standards Navigator is the first comprehensive online resource to view and use SASB standards
SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 13, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Sustainability Accounting Standards Board™ (SASB)™, a 501c3 non-profit organization that develops sustainability accounting standards for publicly-listed U.S. corporations, today announced the launch of the SASB Standards Navigator, an interactive digital platform to view and use SASB standards.
The SASB Standards Navigator allows individuals to access all provisional standards and research content in one place. Users can browse SASB's industry-specific disclosure topics, metrics, and technical protocols; download PDFs of the standards; and view supplementary information, reference material, and research within the tool. Additionally, each page of the Standards Navigator has links to provide feedback on the provisional standards and the user experience of the Navigator.
"We created the SASB Standards Navigator in response to stakeholder demand for an easier way to find the information they need," says Dr. Jean Rogers, SASB CEO and Founder. "The tool enables corporations, investors, and intermediaries with multiple users on-site to access the complete set of information related to the standards. Digital resources include industry briefs, technical bulletins, and examples of disclosure in the Form 10-K. Feedback on the standards or the Navigator can be provided on every page."
The SASB Standards Navigator, which is free to users, is launching in beta. SASB expects to expand the site's features and functionality based on user feedback.
SASB standards are currently available for 35 industries in five sectors: Health Care, Financials, Technology & Communications, Non-Renewable Resources, and Transportation. By 2016, standards for 80+ industries in 10 major sectors will be available.
