Seibert played a key role in the Sarasota School of Architecture movement, helping establish Sarasota as an important center of midcentury modern architecture. He was elected to the College of Fellows, American Institute of Architects in 1998, and is the recipient of numerous honors, including the AIA "Test of Time" award for the John D. MacDonald house on Siesta Key; the AIA "Florida Award of Honor for Design"; and the "Distinguished Alumni Award" from the University of Florida.

Opening Party at Hiss Studio and Umbrella House. Mr. Seibert will receive SAF's Art + Architecture Lifetime Achievement Award, followed by the City of Sarasota's proclamation designating November 6-12, 2017, "SarasotaMOD Week."
Legacy Presentations and Film Screening at Ringling College. View a Seibert documentary followed by Florida AIA President, Joyce Owens' conversation with Mr. Seibert about his careers as an award-winning architect and yacht designer. A panel discussion, "The Midcentury Modern Phenomenon" will be moderated by architecture historian Christine Madrid French, with Carl Abbott, FAIA, contractor Pat Ball, Michael Epstein, AIA, and Joyce Owens, AIA, RIBA.
Trolley Tours of Seibert and Sarasota Landmarks. Interactive trolley tours of Seibert's architecture on Longboat Key, in Lido Shores and downtown Sarasota. Includes Paul Rudolph's Cocoon House, Sarasota High School and Revere Quality House; Sarasota City Hall and Herald Tribune Headquarters.
Tim Seibert Art Exhibition. SAF showcases photographs of Tim Seibert's architecture, and detailed drawings and wood models of his award-winning yacht designs.
Walking Tours of Midcentury and Modern Homes. Explore homes designed by Tim Seibert and fellow luminaries Paul Rudolph, Philip Hiss and the Zimmermans. Tours include contemporary homes by Sweet Sparkman, Hive Architects and Don Chapell. Each day closes with a cocktail party at a spectacular home rarely open to the public.
Rosemary District Walking Tour. Begin at the newly restored BOTA Center, a stellar example of adaptive re-use of a historically designated, midcentury commercial building. Explore new and historic architecture in Sarasota's most vibrant and walkable neighborhood with talks and refreshments.
Eames© Chair Art Auction. Ten artists have each transformed an iconic Eames© chair to be auctioned in support of SAF programs, preservation efforts and annual scholarships. The chairs are on display at Home Resource, 741 Central Avenue. Online auction continues through Sunday, Nov 12.
