Stronger position as strategic discussion partner of SAP
'S-HERTOGENBOSCH, Netherlands, July 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- SAP User Group Executive Network (SUGEN) recently has expanded with two new members. They are the African SAP User Group AFSUG and the Indian user group INDUS. SUGEN is a global network of fifteen independent SAP user groups. They work together and are discussion partner of SAP for strategic subjects that are important for SAP customers.
The number of SUGEN members increases to fifteen with the addition of the SAP user groups AFSUG and INDUS. "Our position as discussion partner of SAP on behalf of the users becomes stronger with the increase of the number of members and the broad global coverage. We are very delighted with these two new members, that meet the quality criteria we require from user groups that are part of our network," says SUGEN chair Tonnie van der Horst. Now SUGEN is represented on the entire African continent with the addition of AFSUG. And INDUS takes care of a better representation of the Asia-Pacific region.
"It is a huge privilege and honor for AFSUG, to be recognized as a member of SUGEN, an important milestone on our strategic roadmap to enhance value proposition to the member organizations of AFSUG. We are looking forward to commit ourselves to the success of SUGEN," says Cuan Kloppers, Executive Chairman of AFSUG.
"We are excited to join SUGEN and are looking forward to work with the other leading SAP user groups worldwide. Being one of the largest customer base for SAP, we hope to contribute significantly to SUGEN's objectives to influence the product strategy, development and services offered by SAP," adds Manish Choksi, President of INDUS.
SUGEN has important subjects on the agenda during the next period. In a number of strategic projects, SUGEN will discuss with SAP the optimal current and future license model, the in-memory solution HANA and the knowledge transfer from SAP to customers, user groups and SAP subsidiaries. "We are on the verge of fundamental changes in the deployment of SAP technology for mobility and in-memory. This is the right moment to influence SAP in these areas," according to Van der Horst.
