SAP executives, partners and customers will showcase how SAP helps today's corporate leaders drive the growth and innovation that sit squarely atop their agendas for 2011 and beyond. More than 40 partners from the SAP ecosystem are participating in the events across the U.S. and Canada, including Research in Motion, the official "Mobility Sponsor" of the SAP Run Better Tour.
"Technology advancements in areas such as mobility, business analytics and in-memory computing come at a time when companies are challenged by an unprecedented amount of data and demand for information needed to make the right business decisions," said Robert Courteau, president, SAP North America. "The SAP Run Better Tour is an opportunity for companies to learn how SAP and our partners can help them capitalize on these advancements to better compete, drive business value and effectively grow."
Running from February to April 2011, the SAP Run Better Tour is expected to draw more than 5,000 current and prospective customers. Each event will feature keynote addresses, customer stories, best practices and line-of-business sessions on how SAP® solutions can optimize the way business run on both a local level and global level.
"These sessions provide a wonderful opportunity to drill down into the unique challenges our peers face and how SAP technology can be used to rise beyond them," said Donna Peske, IT manager, General Moly, a U.S.-based mineral company engaged in the exploration, development and mining of molybdenum ("moly").
Peske will lead a special track at the tour stop in St. Louis on how General Moly used solutions from the SAP® for Mining solution portfolio to speed a return on investment and enhance mining operations.
On February 23, 2011, the New York City tour stop will also feature the launch of the latest releases of business intelligence (BI) and enterprise information management (EIM) solutions from the SAP® BusinessObjects™ portfolio. This will be the first time that customers are able to sample the full capabilities of the 4.0 releases of the solutions, which include a unified architecture for BI and EIM, optimization with SAP® High-Performance Analytic Appliance (SAP HANA) software for analyzing large data volumes in real time, and mobile access to analytics. These most recent releases underscore the unmatched scope of analytical tools and resources from SAP.
Other highlights of the tour include an "innovation bar," where attendees can get hands-on experience with the latest and greatest analytics, mobility and in-memory computing solutions; SAP® Value Academy program, where attendees learn how adopting the discipline of value management can help their organizations maximize the return on their investments in enterprise technology projects; and live blogging sessions where attendees share their impressions in real time with the extended SAP ecosystem.
