The 2010 Value Index for Financial Performance Management evaluates vendor software against seven categories — usability, manageability, reliability, capability, adaptability, vendor validation and total cost of ownership / return on investment (TCO/ROI) — that combined provide an assessment of product functionality and suitability-to-task as well as effectiveness of vendor support for the buying process and customer assurance.
According to Ventana Research, on average, companies that use consolidation software close their books about one-third faster than those that perform the task using spreadsheets. In addition, companies have been turning to financial performance management solutions to help them set financial objectives; plan, budget and evaluate their financial performance in a timely fashion; and assess performance against organizational objectives.
To earn the status of top-ranked vendor in the Ventana Research 2010 Value Index for Financial Performance Management, SAP competed against several other vendors, including Infor, IBM, SAAS and Oracle.
