Santander Opens Its 19th Philadelphia Branch In The New Rodin Square Complex
To Celebrate its Expanding Presence in Philadelphia, Santander Donates a Total of $12,000 to Three Community-Based Non-Profit Organizations
BOSTON, Oct. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Santander Bank today announced the grand opening of its newest branch in Philadelphia in the new Rodin Square complex located at 2103 Hamilton Street. To commemorate Santander's newest branch and its fifth in Philadelphia's Center City neighborhood, Santander will present checks totaling $12,000 to three community-based non-profit organizations — Affordable Housing Centers of Pennsylvania, Girard College and the Brewerytown-Sharswood Community Civic Association.
Santander executives will attend the grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting later today to officially open the branch and present checks to representatives from each of three non-profit groups. Bank team members as well as customers, community leaders and representatives from the Rodin Square complex development teams will also attend the event.
Angela Moultrie, Santander's Region President for the Pennsylvania/New Jersey Central regions, commented, "With its favorable location and its modern, customer-focused design elements, our new Rodin Square branch is helping to revitalize this area of Center City for residents and shoppers who appreciate the convenience of having amenities and services in one location." She added, "Santander knows how important it is to be a good neighbor and invest in organizations that make up the fabric of the communities where we do business. The Affordable Housing Centers of Pennsylvania, Girard College, and the Brewerytown-Sharswood Community Civic Association each shares the Bank's commitment to creating opportunities for those with limited financial resources and improving their quality of life through financial literacy counseling, education, small business development and neighborhood revitalization initiatives."
The Affordable Housing Centers of Pennsylvania's mission is to increase and preserve homeownership opportunities for low- and moderate-income households and ensure clients are successful stewards of their finances and property. Santander's $10,000 grant will support counseling programs to help low- and moderate-income households improve their housing and financial situations. The Bank's $1000 gift to Girard College will support financial education programming at the grades one through 12 full-scholarship boarding school to assist students from low-income families as they plan to advance their education. The Brewerytown-Sharswood Community Civic Association organizes community residents to advocate for economic development, new affordable housing, safety initiatives and youth programs. Santander's $1000 grant will help support the development of the small business corridor along Girard Avenue.
Santander's modern, full-service Rodin Square branch features a new interior design aimed at improving the customer experience with an open layout and comfortable meeting "nooks" with sliding glass doors where bankers and customers can meet privately to discuss their financial needs. A 24-hour zone with one deposit-taking ATM is also available for customer use after branch hours. The branch will continue to introduce new technologies as they evolve to further help customers with their banking goals. The branch manager and his team are available Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to assist existing customers as well as those who would like to learn more about Santander's products and services.
