Santa Paws is Coming to Town!

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- For the third year in a row, we're bringing it back. It's too heartwarming and funny and we just can't help ourselves. 

Kimpton's Santa Paws is a weekend-long event where we fill our living room lobbies across the country with holiday treats and decor. The hotel manager who draws the short straw puts on a Santa suit and happily poses for snapshots with all the neighborhood critters as well as the pets traveling along with our guests that weekend.  Our guests bring their own cameras, smart phones and the like and take pictures like mad and send them to friends and family or straight to social media sites, usually with a caption like.... Muffin's first Christmas at Kimpton. This year, Kimpton's Santa Paws event will take place from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 10 and 11.

Mostly, we see dogs at Santa Paws, which is great. But we want to remind everyone that Kimpton is an inclusive and diverse company. All pets are welcome. If it can fit through the door, we welcome it for holiday pictures. Everyone is also reminded to bring their own camera.

Kimpton is a pet-friendly company, but there's a higher point to Santa Paws as well. Many of our events will benefit non-profit animal shelters and welfare organizations. A few of our partners this year include: The Animal Rescue League, Operation Ava, SPCA Vero Beach, NYC Mayor's Alliance for Animals, Freedom Service Dogs, San Diego Animal Support Foundation, San Francisco SPCA, Chicago's Anti-Cruelty Society, and many more.
