SANTA CRUZ, Calif., May 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Santa Cruz County Bank (OTCQB: SCZC) announced that its Board of Directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend in the amount of $0.05 per share. The dividend is payable on July 10, 2014 to stockholders of record as of the close of business on June 25, 2014. This is the fifth cash dividend declared by Santa Cruz County Bank.
The Bank reported an increase of $4.4 million to $34.9 million in shareholders' equity for the quarter ended March 31, 2014, 14%, over the prior year. Book value per share for the quarter ended March 31, 2014 was $16.35 compared to $15.55 for the quarter ended March 31, 2013. Basic earnings per share of $0.41 for the quarter ended March 31, 2014 were equal to the quarter ended March 31, 2013.
