Santa Claus Endorses Great American Cookies® as His Favorite Cookies of All Time

BALTIMORE, Oct. 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The stockings aren't yet hung by the chimney with care, but Santa Claus made an early one-day only appearance to make a special public announcement in celebration of National Cookie Month (October). At a press conference held at a Great American Cookies^® location, Claus declared the brand his favorite cookies of all time. Also in attendance was Mrs. Claus who came clean about never actually baking her own cookies, but buying them from Great American Cookies.

"Cookie companies have been asking me to be their spokesman for a thousand years. I've always told my agent I won't do it unless it's a product I can truly get my sleigh behind, but Great American Cookies is the real deal," said Claus. "Aside from December, of course, October is my favorite month because it celebrates my favorite type of treats. That's why I've chosen to endorse Great American Cookies as my all-time favorite today. Why, they make me shake my belly like a bowl full of jelly!"

By making his announcement on the first day of October to kick off National Cookie Month, Claus hopes families will have plenty of time to stock up on his favorite cookies before he climbs down their chimney in December. As Great American Cookies' newest spokesman, Claus wants to remind everyone that Great American Cookies also make merry gifts for friends and family or treats for all holiday gatherings – much tastier than fruit cakes and figgy pudding. During his remarks, he also expressed his love for Great American Cookies' Cookie Cakes and said, "Every year Mrs. Claus gets me a Cookie Cake to celebrate my birthday, since I'm well over a thousand years old, I've have had quite a few!"

During the press conference, Mrs. Claus revealed that she hasn't baked cookies since she began purchasing them from Great American Cookies in 1977 when the brand was founded. Having Great American Cookies special delivered to the North Pole allows Mrs. Claus more time to oversee the workshop with Santa.
