Santa Ana Rocked by 42 Arrests in Medical Marijuana Dispensaries

SANTA ANA, Calif., Aug. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Kush Bottles, North America's premier supplier of certified child-resistant packaging and compliant bottles for the marijuana industry, commented today on the news that in a span of two days, Santa Ana, California police made 42 arrests associated with medical marijuana dispensaries.

According to the Orange County Register, the beefed-up enforcement went into effect immediately after the City Council agreed to earmark $500,000 in overtime pay toward the task force, which includes the Santa Ana Police Department, the city attorney's office and code enforcement.

Of the 42 people who were taken into custody, five were Santa Ana residents. The others live in Foothill Ranch, Anaheim, Barstow, Garden Grove, Irvine, La Verne, La Puente and Huntington Beach, according to police reports.
