SANS Institute Returns to Washington D.C. with Cyber Defense Initiative Training Event
BETHESDA, Md., Nov. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- SANS Institute today announced its return to Washington D.C. for its annual cyber security training event, SANS Cyber Defense Initiative (CDI) 2014, taking place December 10 – 19. Attendees will learn about the newest cyber attacks, how they work, and what can be done to prevent them or mitigate the damage. Attendees will also learn about the latest tools for finding, blocking, and deciphering hacking attacks.
Included among the courses offered at CDI is the popular FOR508: Advanced Digital Forensics and Incident Response course. This in-depth incident response course provides responders with advanced skills to hunt down, counter, and recover from a wide range of threats within enterprise networks, including APT adversaries, organized crime syndicates, and hactivism. CDI students can look forward to the debut of SANS' biggest NetWars challenge ever, the SEC562: CyberCity Hands-on Kinetic Cyber Range course. Dubbed the ultimate training event for cyber warriors and Infosec professionals, the Kinetic Cyber Range brings together every CyberCity mission ever offered, and new missions, under one single mega challenge.
