SANS Institute Returns to Orlando for its Most Comprehensive Computer Security Training Event of 2013
BETHESDA, Md., Dec. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- SANS today announced it is returning to the Orlando World Center Marriott campus for SANS 2013. Slated for March 8 – 15, SANS 2013 will provide students with world-class training in IT security, penetration testing, application developer security, computer forensics, security management, network audit, and legal security.
SANS 2013 features over 40 hands-on technical courses taught by the top security practitioners in the industry. "SANS is the fastest way to go from an information security beginner to an information security guru," said David Howard with Emerson. Jayme Jordan, with Raytheon, adds "Within the first five minutes I knew this would be a very different (and welcomed) experience than prior training with other vendors."
SANS 2013 is also the venue for the GIAC Security Expert (GSE) hands-on lab. The GSE is truly a one of a kind certification and is one of the only expert level certifications in the industry. To achieve GSE status, you must possess an in-depth technical proficiency in general security, incident handling, intrusion detection and analysis.
The GSE is a battery of tests consisting of a multiple-choice exam and a two-day hands-on lab, which is only offered twice a year. To be eligible for the GSE lab at SANS 2013, you must have your application approved and complete the multiple-choice test by February 8, 2013.
