SANS Announces 2016 Security Operations Center Summit Keynote Speakers
Author Carson Zimmerman - the Man Who Literally Wrote the Book on SOC Security - to Present the Opening Keynote Address
BETHESDA, Md., April 12, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- SANS Institute, the global leader in information security training, today announced the keynote speakers for the 2016 Security Operations Center (SOC) Summit, taking place May 19 – 26 in Crystal City, VA. Carson Zimmerman, MITRE Principal Cybersecurity Engineer, will present the opening keynote address. Renowned cyber security expert and SANS Fellow, Dr. Eric Cole, will deliver the keynote address on day two. Zimmerman and Cole will join other industry leaders in sharing first-hand experiences and new ideas for establishing effective security operations.
During his keynote address, "Ten Strategies of a World-Class Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC)", Zimmerman will share observations on what it takes to do computer network defense well in the modern IT enterprise. He will present ten fundamental qualities of an effective CSOC that cut across the elements of people, process, and technology as discussed in his book.
