Sandwich Artist™ Turned Beauty Queen: SUBWAY® Sandwich Artist™ Wins Title of Miss Wales 2011

MILFORD, Conn., Nov. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- SUBWAY® Sandwich Artist™ Sara Manchipp wears her uniform with pride, and she can now add an impressive accessory to her green polo shirt- a Miss Wales sash and crown! Ms. Manchipp beat 54 other women in the annual competition and won the title of Miss Wales 2011 which gave her the chance to compete in the recent Miss World Pageant in London.

As part of the Miss World "Beauty with a Purpose" program, Sara and her fellow Miss and Mister Wales contestants raised about $145,000 for the Joshua Foundation, a charity that provides life experiences for children with cancer and their families.

When Sara isn't making SUBWAY® sandwiches and competing in beauty competitions, she studies Psychology and Counseling at Swansea Metropolitan University. Sara is a dedicated member of the SUBWAY® team, working a few shifts a week, in addition to attending school and participating in community projects as part of her Miss Wales duties. Sara will also be featured in an upcoming documentary on Welsh television broadcast, S4C, which will follow her journey from Miss Wales to the Miss World Pageant.
