Sandrine Colson is recognized by Continental Who's Who
BOSTON, Oct. 31, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Sandrine Colson is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member. Currently, Colson is the Owner of Sandrine Fine Arts and Jewelry – Art of the Heart.
In this role, which she has been in for the past four years, she produces jewelry, paintings, and other forms of artistic mixed media, and distributes them globally to her customers. Her professional areas of expertise include teaching, and art, of course.
Coming from a family of artists, Colson gave science a try, and was trained as a scientist and engineer, which served as "an inspiration for many of her pieces," before pursuing art professionally in 2013.
The website also reveals that Colson migrated to the U.S from Provence, France, as well as the nature of her artwork.
"My work is diversified, from colorful textured landscapes to expressive abstract painting or mixed media compositions," the artist's biography states. "My work is currently displayed throughout New England and the US as well as Europe and Mexico, as the opportunity arises." Colson sees herself as a painter of stories, where each piece can be seen as a story unveiling under her brush and chosen materials. Her overall mission is to value the "uniqueness" that makes each of us who we are.
Colson earned her Ph.D. in Ceramics Science and Engineering from Rutgers University in 1992. Additionally, she holds memberships with the National Association of Women Artists (N.A.W.A.), the Cambridge Art Association, the Newton Art Association, Newton Open Studios, Artists Group of Charlestown, and the Dedham Square Artist Guild.
Colson also volunteers her time promoting various art programs for all in the New England Area. For instance, Colson was previously involved with programs like Art Resource Collaborative for Kids (ARCK) as an Operations Manager and STEAM Coordinator.
In honor of her outstanding work as an artist, Colson has received a Special Merit Award from the All Women organization in January of 2017, and has achieved other Merit Awards, medals, and recognitions for her art work throughout various art competitions and shows. She also placed as a finalist at the Abstract Art Juried Competition for her acrylic painting entitled, "Bursting Out."
She dedicates this recognition in loving memory of her father, Jean-Louis Colson, her mom, Regine Verdu, and her daughters, Sonia and Yasmin.
