LOS ANGELES, July 11, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- ReddiNet, the emergency medical communications system, is pleased to announce that San Mateo County has joined as the newest member county on the ReddiNet network in the Bay Area.
San Mateo joins San Francisco, Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin and Solano Counties in Northern California in strengthening emergency response and disaster preparedness capabilities.
"ReddiNet is now the emergency communications provider of choice, serving 65% of the state's population in over 25% of counties in California. San Mateo's decision to switch to ReddiNet helps us to continue to build a strong presence in Northern California and throughout the entire state," said Soraya Peters, vice president of ReddiNet.
ReddiNet's unique design allows users to view status and information for the surrounding counties on the ReddiNet system, providing a holistic view of hospitals and other healthcare facilities. This allows for better communication and coordination of resources across county lines during day to day operations and in large scale disasters and mass casualty incidents.
"A well-integrated and informed emergency response team is absolutely essential when it comes to saving lives and helping victims," said George Greene, president of The Hospital Association of Southern California. "ReddiNet provides the tools that enable all responders to quickly and confidently make decisions based on situational status."
