WASHINGTON, June 27, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.

Name of product: King- and Queen-Size Bordeaux Collection Bed Frames
Units: About 18,400 in the United States and 1,250 in Canada
Importer: Samuel Lawrence Furniture, of High Point, N.C.
Manufacturer: Poh Huat Furniture Ind., of Malaysia
Hazard: The hardware holding the headboard and footboard can loosen or detach, posing a fall hazard.
Incidents/Injuries: The firm has received one report of a Florida man who injured his foot when the bed's footboard detached.
Description: This recall includes Bordeaux Collection king- and queen-size sleigh beds with wooden headboards and footboards in a cherry finish. Each bed also has two matching wooden side rails. "Bordeaux" and the model number are printed on a white label on the back of the headboard and footboard. Model numbers for the recalled beds are 8070-252 and 8070-253 for the queen-size and 8070-272 and 8070-273 for the king-size.
Sold at: Furniture stores nationwide from August 2009 to April 2012 for between $400 and $500.
Manufactured in: Malaysia
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled beds and contact Samuel Lawrence Furniture to obtain a free repair kit.
