BENTONVILLE, Ark., Dec. 1, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Sam's Club and Off the Field professional football players' wives association will host the Fourth Annual Dream Drive for The Salvation Army and its Adopt-a-Family program. Through this program, 10 pre-selected families in 10 cities across the country will receive $1,000 worth of food and holiday gifts, including clothes, personal items, electronics and toys from Sam's Club.
"Sam's Club is excited to continue its partnership with The Salvation Army and Off the Field," said Sharon Orlopp, senior vice president of People at Sam's Club. "Now in its fourth year, Dream Drive will help brighten the holiday spirit for families in need by providing them with the food, gifts and other essentials on their wish list to help make this season memorable."
Dream Drive will be held Thursday, December 16 at Sam's Club locations in select U.S. areas: Baltimore; Chicago; Cincinnati; Dallas; Houston; Miami; Philadelphia; Phoenix; San Francisco/Oakland and Washington, DC. Off the Field participants shopping for this year's Salvation Army families include Roxi McNabb in Washington, D.C., Dottie Palmer in Cincinnati, Denise Clark in Chicago and Kimberly Alexander in Dallas.

In addition, Walmart and Sam's Club will once again host Salvation Army red kettles and bell ringers outside store fronts nationwide during The Salvation Army's 2010 Red Kettle Campaign between November 26th and December 24th. Walmart and Sam's Club have been partners of The Salvation Army for more than 20 years, providing a place for volunteers to collect donations that benefit local communities nationwide.
