Sam Ash Music Donates to the Les Paul Foundation
HICKSVILLE, N.Y., Aug. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- For the second year in a row Sam Ash Music has made a donation to the Les Paul Foundation. A portion of the profits from the sale of every Gibson and Epiphone Les Paul model sold in June (Les's birth month) was donated to the Foundation. Michael K. Braunstein, Executive Director of the Les Paul Foundation said, "We are so grateful for our relationship with our friends at Sam Ash Music, not only for the financial support but also for assisting us with continuing the legacy of the iconic Les Paul." Sammy Ash, COO of Sam Ash Music, explained the company's support of the program. "It is our privilege to help out such a great cause. It was Les's intention to get as many people playing music of any style as possible; we are sorry he didn't have a chance to see it to fruition." Mr. Ash went on to say, "Besides being an inventor, musician, and composer, Les was truly a great human being." Les Paul has had a 50 year history with the Ash family and the relationship is one they are very proud of. When speaking about Sam Ash Music, Les Paul once said: "If I can't find what I want at a Sam Ash store, I try to build it!"
