BOSTON, Nov. 27, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Salsify, the only Product Experience Management (PXM) platform that lets brands deliver compelling shopping experiences across every digital touchpoint, today announces that the company has successfully completed a Service Organization Control (SOC) 2, Type 2 examination. This objective evaluation of Salsify's technology platform, organization, and processes by an independent auditing firm follows Salsify's earlier SOC 2, Type 1 examination completed in December 2017. The latest Type 2 assessment affirms Salsify's high degree of data security and availability, and further addresses the compliance needs across the company's rapidly growing global customer base.
"Brand manufacturers use the Salsify PXM platform to deliver captivating product experiences wherever they sell online, whether that's on retail sites, direct-to-consumer channels, or online catalogs," said Adam Ferrari, EVP of Engineering at Salsify. "The platform's modern commerce functionality is attracting a quickly expanding roster of global brands, all of which have exacting security needs when it comes to their product data. This SOC 2 Type 2 evaluation, which included Salsify meeting upcoming, more rigorous SOC 2 standards in advance, highlights the company's enduring commitment to meet our clients' rigorous data security and availability requirements now, and into the future."
SOC 2 standards are established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and address security controls such as organization and management, monitoring of controls, communications, risk management, and more. By completing the Type 2, security and availability portion of the analysis, brand manufacturers using Salsify to organize, store, collaborate, syndicate, and analyze their product content can feel confident in the secure design and operating effectiveness of the Salsify platform, having gone through a rigorous security verification process.
