SALM manufactures a wide range of kitchen and bathroom fittings, including storage solutions. An industry leader in France, SALM is present in 21 countries throughout Europe.
The Quintiq software platform upgrade, facilitated by Quintiq partner Ordina, has improved SALM's ability to simultaneously plan and optimize production and logistics. This has lead to maximized use of its resources and the synchronization of business-critical activities.
SALM has been a Quintiq customer since 2005. Today, SALM uses its upgraded Quintiq software to plan the fulfillment of 2,000 daily orders. Quintiq's SCP&O software optimizes the production schedules at SALM's four sites in France and Germany. The platform also helps to plan SALM's 200 delivery schedules, ensuring customers receive their orders on time.
"SALM became the industry leader in France and fifth largest in Europe, thanks to sustained innovation efforts that included continuous improvement of our processes," said Jacques Feraud, project manager at SALM. "Quintiq's solution enables us to commit to reliable delivery dates throughout Europe. This helps us maintain excellent service levels, which will enable us to further expand our presence internationally."
"SALM is a perfect example of industrial success and we are proud to have contributed towards that by providing a solution capable of optimizing both production and transport processes simultaneously," said Henri Beringer, director of Quintiq France. "We are confident that Quintiq will continue to support SALM's growth, even as its supply chain challenges become more complex."
