Stanford Hospital & Clinics Establishes Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Clinic at Salinas Valley Memorial
SALINAS, Calif., Aug. 10 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The partnership between Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System and Stanford Hospital & Clinics has added another facet of care, bringing world-class organ transplant care to patients on the Central Coast. Stanford's Adult Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program will begin seeing patients at Salinas Valley Memorial's Ryan Ranch facility.

This newest affiliation is the latest in multiple collaborations between Salinas Valley Memorial and Stanford Hospital & Clinics. In the fall of 2008 the two announced the creation of the Stanford Cardiac Surgery Program at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital. SVMHS also partners with Stanford's Lucille Packard Children's Hospital in Salinas Valley Memorial's Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and Parental Diagnostic Center.
Stanford's Adult Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program is expected to start seeing patients at Salinas Valley Memorial's Ryan Ranch facility in late August.
