FAIRFAX, Va., Sept. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Salient Federal Solutions, Inc. (Salient), a leading provider of information technology, training, engineering, and intelligence analytic services to agencies in the intelligence, defense, homeland security, cyber security, and federal civilian markets, today announced the award of the Information Technology Research, Application, and Web Development Support Services contract by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
The blanket purchase agreement (BPA) will be in effect for the next five years and has an anticipated value of $30 million. Salient is one of twenty awardees eligible to compete for task orders under the contract.

Under this contract, Salient will have the opportunity to deliver specialized Information Technology services in eight functional areas of NIH. Among these, core support will provide helpdesk operations, network and security infrastructure, web and application development, and research support services to the National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA), Consolidated Office Acquisition Center (COAC), and Customer Institutes and Centers (CIC).
