Sales Up 31 Percent for Express Employment Professionals
OKLAHOMA CITY, Aug. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Express Employment Professionals has continued to see a double digit percentage increase in sales this year, and the company is on track to place a record number of new employees in jobs for 2011.
U.S. sales for the largest privately-held staffing company for the first six months of 2011 are up 31.85 percent compared to last year. Express franchisees have set nine weekly sales records for the year, with the highest sales week recorded in the company's history at $35.69 million for the week ending June 26.
The second quarter of 2011 marks the sixth consecutive quarter with double digit percentage growth for Express. The company has nearly doubled its size since 2009 with sales up 92.3 percent compared the same period in 2009.
Year to date, Express franchisees have placed 219,405 people in jobs.
According to a recent hiring trends survey conducted by Express, 42 percent of company leaders who responded have either recently implemented or plan to implement hiring staff in the third quarter.
"We're seeing employers' confidence levels increase slightly," said Bob Funk, CEO and chairman of the board. "Not only do employers plan to hire new employees, but some are also considering reinstating 401(k) matches, offering pay raises and lifting hiring freezes."
