SAIC's Larry Cox Named Federal 100 Winner by Federal Computer Week
Cyber Information Systems Business Unit General Manager Honored for Contributions in Thought Leadership, Cybersecurity Innovation and Signals Intelligence
MCLEAN, Va., Feb. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) today announced that Federal Computer Week has named Larry Cox, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager, to its list of leaders who affect change, progress and efficiency in determining how the federal government acquires, develops and manages information technology (IT). The annual listing honors 100 individuals from government, industry and academia who have played pivotal roles in the federal government IT community.
Cox and other winners will be honored during the 23rd Annual Federal 100 awards gala March 28 at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, D.C.
Cox leads over 2,200 professionals responsible for driving the company's innovation and thought leadership in cybersecurity and signals intelligence (SIGINT) for federal, commercial, and international customers. He is responsible for the continued performance and growth of more than $700M in annual revenue as well as future pipeline and two subsidiaries focused on cybersecurity technologies. Cox frequently speaks on vision and strategy for addressing global cybersecurity challenges and opportunities and as SAIC's lead Maryland executive, is actively engaged in various advisory councils.
Dedicated to driving more professionals to a cybersecurity career, Cox co-founded the Maryland Cyber Challenge and Conference (MDC3), a nonprofit event, in collaboration with Freeman Hrabowski, the president of UMBC and CyberMaryland.
