SAIC Sponsors Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) Honor Guard Gala
Company Supports Recognition and Honor of Those Lost in Service to America
MCLEAN, Va., April 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) today announced that it is a presenting sponsor of the 2012 Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) Honor Guard Gala at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium on April 17. The annual gala honors members of the military, U.S. government contractors and civilians lost in service to America, and the families left behind.
Founded in 1994, TAPS is America's front line resource for those grieving the loss of a loved one who served in the Armed Forces. Its comprehensive services include a national network providing peer-based emotional support, case work assistance and grief trauma resources. To date, TAPS has assisted more than 35,000 surviving family members, casualty officers and caregivers.
