SAIC Selected for the Integrated Communications Services Contract by NASA
Company to Provide Managerial and Technical Expertise in Support of Office of the Chief Information Officer
MCLEAN, Va., May 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) today announced it was selected by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to provide managerial and technical expertise in support of the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) for corporate and mission communications needs, including local area network management at all NASA centers. The cost-plus-award-fee/incentive-fee contract has a three-year base period, one two-year option; one three-year option; and a final two-year option period, with an additional indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) feature. The base award of the contract is $340 million. The maximum potential value of this contract if all options are exercised, including the maximum IDIQ contract value, is $1.3 billion.
Under the contract, SAIC will provide services as required in areas including corporate and mission enterprise network services; center and associated component facility network services; infrastructure projects; contract management services; and unique services to the program, such as Russian IT services, Digital TV services, and national security systems.
