SAIC Opens New Building in Beavercreek
87,000 Square Foot Facility to Expand SAIC Support of Department of Defense (DoD) Customers
DAYTON, Ohio, July 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) [NYSE: SAI] announced today the opening of its Beavercreek regional office to support innovation focused on aeronautics, human performance, logistics, and manned and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). The 87,000 square foot office, located at 3745 Pentagon Blvd., will create a regional center of excellence supporting the Department of Defense and intelligence community customers.
Federal, state and local government officials, as well as SAIC leadership, are expected to attend a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony at the facility on July 26 at 1:30 p.m. Confirmed speakers include Lieutenant Governor Mary Taylor, Senator Chris Widener, Stu Shea, SAIC chief operating officer, and Dennis Andersh, SAIC senior vice president and Dayton regional account executive.
"The new facility in Beavercreek will enable SAIC to expand our existing capabilities to align with the Air Force's UAS research and development and testing vision," said Andersh. "SAIC currently employs more than 450 scientists, engineers, infrastructure support and other knowledge workers in the region, with a large number supporting customers at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. This expansion will continue to bring new jobs to the region within the next few years."
