MCLEAN, Va., June 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) was awarded three prime contracts for the Tank and Automotive Command (TACOM) Strategic Service Solutions (TS3) family of contracts. These contracts will provide the U.S. Army a variety of services and solutions to support the TACOM Life Cycle Management Command, the Program Executive Offices for Ground Combat Systems, Combat Support & Combat Service Support, System of Systems Engineering & Integration, and the Tank Automotive Research and Development Command (TARDEC).
The multiple-award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contracts cover three individual service areas: a knowledge based services contract worth a total of $1.8 billion; an equipment related services contract worth a total of $1.1 billion; and a research & development services contract worth a total of $634 million. The contracts each have a five-year period of performance, and a combined total contract value of more than $3.2 billion available to all awardees. SAIC is one of four awardees that will compete for task orders under all three contracts. Work will be performed primarily in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
