SAIC Awarded Contract By U.S. Space And Naval Warfare Systems Center (SSC) Atlantic
Company to Provide Infrastructure Protection Solutions in Support of SSC Atlantic's Enterprise Systems Engineering Organization
MCLEAN, Va., July 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) [NYSE: SAI] today announced it was awarded a prime contract by the U.S. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SSC) Atlantic to provide infrastructure protection solutions, including engineering and life-cycle support for electronic security systems, public safety, information assurance, and engineering network systems in support of SSC Atlantic's Enterprise Systems Engineering organization. The multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ), cost-plus-fixed-fee (CPFF) with firm-fixed price provisions contract has a one-year base period, four one-year options, and a total contract value of approximately $228 million for all awardees, if all options are exercised. Work will be performed primarily in Charleston, S.C., with potential tasking at facilities worldwide.
SSC Atlantic's Enterprise Systems Engineering organization within the Business Enterprise Information Systems Department is responsible for the engineering development, design, procurement, fabrication, configuration, installation, integration, logistics, maintenance, and life-cycle support services for infrastructure protection purposes and is supporting the operational requirements of the U.S. Department of Defense and other government agencies.
Under this contract, SAIC will provide infrastructure protection solutions as required, including a range of services relating to the development, design, installation, engineering, and technical support for infrastructure protection and emergency management technology support solutions and projects. SAIC's services supporting this contract includes information assurance, systems engineering and design, procurement, technical documentation, logistics, and software and non-U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps web development.
