SAIC Awarded Contract By U.S. Space And Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic
Company to Provide Integrated Command and Control (C2) Engineering and Technical Services in Support of Command Centers
MCLEAN, Va., July 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) [NYSE: SAI] today announced it was awarded a prime contract by the U.S. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SSC) Atlantic to provide integrated command and control (C2) engineering and technical support services for command centers. The multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ), cost-plus-fixed-fee (CPFF) with firm-fixed-price provisions contract has a one-year base period of performance, two one-year options, and an estimated shared ceiling value of approximately $144 million to all awardees, if all options are exercised. Work will be performed in Charleston, S.C.; Washington D.C.; San Diego, Calif.; Norfolk, Va.; and New Orleans, La.
SSC Atlantic's Command and Control Systems Department Integrated C2 Project Area provides information technology and command center services for the U.S. Department of Defense and other federal agencies.
Under the contract, SAIC will provide integrated C2 engineering and technical support services as required, including program management, technical engineering, integrated logistics, configuration and data management, and direct customer and security engineering support. SAIC will work with operations and command centers as well as various command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence (C4I) systems worldwide.
