SAIC Awarded Contract by United States Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division
Company to Provide Logistics and Program Management Services for the Navy Corrosion Control Assistance Teams
MCLEAN, Va., Feb. 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) announced it was awarded a prime contract by the United States Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Carderock Division to provide logistics and program management services for the Navy Corrosion Control Assistance Teams (CCAT). The single-award cost-plus fixed-fee contract has a one-year base period of performance, two one-year options, and a total contract value of approximately $23 million, if all options are exercised. Work will be performed primarily in Norfolk, Va., Little Creek, Va., Mayport, Fla., San Diego, Calif., Everett, Wash., and Yokuska, Japan.
The NSWC Carderock Division provides research, development, test and evaluation, analysis, acquisition support, in-service engineering, logistics and integration of surface and undersea vehicles and associated systems. Under the contract, SAIC will provide logistics and program management services including labor, technical assistance, training and process consumables for the Navy CCAT. Tasks will also include issuing government-owned tools and process consumables and conducting training.
