SAIC Awarded Contract By the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center - Atlantic
Company to Provide Engineering and Integration Services in Support of U.S. Marine Corps Mass Notification Systems
MCLEAN, Va., July 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) today announced it has been awarded a prime contract by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) Atlantic, Business Systems / Enterprise Information Systems Division to support U.S. Marine Corps mass notification systems. The multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity contract has a one-year base period of performance, four one-year options, and a total value of more than $45 million for all awardees, if all options are exercised.
SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic's Information Warfare (IW) Exploitation Systems Engineering Division works to maximize warfighter intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities through the rapid development and fielding of cost effective, state-of-the-art IW exploitation and threat warning and detection systems. Under the contract, SAIC will help the division support U.S. Marine Corps mass notification systems by providing site surveys, integration, installation, and technical support. SAIC will also furnish mass notification system equipment as required. These systems support the operational and security requirements of the U.S. Marine Corps. SAIC will also compete for a variety of projects, ranging from minor additions to existing systems to large scale integrated base-wide systems that include Mass Notification System Wireless Audio Visual Emergency System (WAVES) hardware and software.
