SAIC Awarded Contract by Federal Highway Administration
Company to Provide Technical and Programmatic Support Services to the Office of Freight Management and Operations
MCLEAN, Va., June 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) announced today it was awarded a prime contract by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) to provide technical and programmatic services in support of the Office of Freight Management and Operations (HOFM) and the U.S. Department of Transportation. The multiple award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contact has a two year base period of performance, three one-year options, and a contract ceiling value for SAIC of more than $19 million, if all options are exercised.
The HOFM promotes efficient, seamless, and secure freight flow within the U.S. transportation system and across U.S. borders. Under the contract, SAIC will provide technical and programmatic services as required, and will support the international transportation system, which promotes economic growth and development, as needed. SAIC is one of seven contractors that will compete for task orders under the contract.
