SAIC Awarded Contract by Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
Company to Provide Comprehensive Information Technology (IT) Services to FAA, Department of Transportation (DOT) and other federal agencies
MCLEAN, Va., April 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) announced today it was awarded a prime contract by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Enterprise Services Center (ESC) to provide comprehensive information technology (IT) services to the FAA, Department of Transportation (DOT) and other federal agencies. The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract has a one year base period of performance, four one-year options, and a contract ceiling value of more than $156 million if all options are exercised. Work will be performed primarily in Oklahoma City, Okla.
FAA's ESC operates as a federal shared service provider of integrated business services and solutions. It provides enterprise systems and applications, data centers, and services in accounting, human resources, payroll, custom programming and training across to the FAA, DOT and other agencies. Under the contract, SAIC will provide comprehensive IT support services as required in areas including system development, integration, management and hosting; telecommunications; information security and media support; office automation; and training.
