SAIC Awarded Contract by Environmental Protection Agency Climate Change Division
Company to Provide Technical and Outreach Services for the Development and Implementation of the Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program
MCLEAN, Va., Jan. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) [NYSE: SAI] announced today it was awarded a prime contract by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Climate Change Division (CCD) to provide technical and outreach services for the development and implementation of the Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program (GHGRP). The Fixed Rates for Services multi award IDIQ contract has a one-year base period of performance, four one-year options, and a contract ceiling value of more than $139 million if all options are exercised. Work will be performed in Washington, D.C.
The GHGRP is the result of an EPA mandate to report greenhouse gas (GHG) data and other relevant information from large sources and suppliers in the U.S, with the purpose of collecting accurate and timely GHG data to inform future policy decisions. Under the contract, SAIC will provide technical and outreach services for the development and implementation of the GHGRP, including technical and engineering analyses support, outreach, communications and training support, data systems and information technology support, data analytics, and publications support.
