SAIC Awarded Contract By eHealth Saskatchewan
Company to Provide Implementation and Maintenance Technology Services in Support of the Province's Electronic Health Record (EHR) System
MCLEAN, Va., Aug. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) [NYSE: SAI] Canada announced today it was awarded a prime contract by eHealth Saskatchewan to provide implementation and maintenance technology services in support of the province's Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. The single-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract has a three-year period of performance and an estimated total contract value of $16 million. Work will be performed in Regina, SK.
eHealth Saskatchewan leads EHR planning and strategy for the province of Saskatchewan and is responsible for coordinating, operating and maintaining other selected information technology systems on behalf of healthcare delivery organizations in the province. Under the contract, SAIC Canada will provide implementation and maintenance services, including technology and applications for the Saskatchewan EHR system and its associated components, as well as other health information systems and related databases.
