SAIC Awarded Contract by Air Combat Command Acquisition Management and Integration Center
Company to Contract Advisory and Assistance Services in Support of the United States Air Force (USAF)
MCLEAN, Va., Feb. 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) announced today it was awarded a prime contract by the Air Combat Command (ACC) Acquisition Management and Integration Center (AMIC) Advisory & Assistance (A&AS) division to provide technical and analytical services in support of the Air Force District of Washington (AFDW). The multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract has a one-year base period of performance, four one-year options, and a contract ceiling value of $4.7 billion if all options are exercised.
The AFDW brings air, space and cyberspace capabilities to the joint team protecting the nation's capital, and supports local personnel and those serving worldwide. Under the contract, SAIC will provide contract advisory and assistance services to support and improve policy development, management, administration and the operation of systems as required, including: management and professional support; studies, analyses, and evaluations; and engineering and technical services. SAIC is one of 11 contractors who will compete for task orders under the contract.
