SAIC Awarded $29 Million Contract by U.S. Marine Corps System Command
Company to Provide Systems Integration Services in Support of the Total Force Structure Management System (TFSMS)
MCLEAN, Va., Aug. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) today announced it was awarded a prime contract by Marine Corps System Command's (MCSC) Information Systems and Infrastructure Product Group (PG10) to provide systems integration services in support of the Total Force Structure Management System (TFSMS). The single-award, follow-on contract has a four-year base period of performance and a contract value of $30 million. Work will be performed in Quantico, Va.
TFSMS is an enterprise information technology (IT) solution developed to support the Marine Corps Total Force Structure Process (TFSP) by providing accessible, timely, and accurate information. TFSMS provides core capabilities for organizing the Marine Corps into capability-based forces; informs capability development through the Expeditionary Force Development System; and lays the foundation for future force management capabilities through the joint Global Force Management Data Initiative. Under the contract, SAIC will provide systems integration support, including post deployment software support, requirements development and the implementation of training and system performance enhancements.
