SAIC Awarded $14 Million in Task Orders to Support the 513th Military Intelligence Brigade
Company to Provide Information Technology (IT) Services In Support of Critical Command and Control Domains
MCLEAN, Va., Nov. 15, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) announced today it was awarded two task orders by the General Services Administration on the behalf of the U.S. Army 513th Military Intelligence Brigade to provide Information Technology (IT) services to the brigade at Fort Gordon, Ga., and the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) area of responsibility (AOR). The task orders have a one year base period of performance, two one-year options, and a combined value of $14 million, if all options are exercised. The task orders were awarded under the General Services Administration's (GSA) Alliant contract.
The 513th Military Intelligence Brigade conducts multidiscipline intelligence and security operations in support of Army components of CENTCOM, U.S. Southern Command and other theater Army commanders. Under the task orders, SAIC will support the brigade's 2,000 soldiers by providing services to sustain their IT enterprise in areas including software systems, UNIX system administration, network engineering, hardware maintenance, and material procurement support.
