SAIC Awarded $11 Million Contract by HollyFrontier Corporation
Company to Provide Design-Build and Construction Services in Support of Environmental Protection Agency Regulatory Compliance
MCLEAN, Va., Oct. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) announced today it was awarded a prime contract by HollyFrontier Corporation to provide design-build services in support of the construction of a new Benzene Saturation Unit to meet Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulatory requirements. The single-award contract has a value of approximately $11 million, and the new facility is expected to be in operation in June 2012. Work will be performed primarily in Woods Cross, Utah.
HollyFrontier Corporation is among the largest independent petroleum refiners in the United States, producing and marketing gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, asphalt, heavy products and specialty lubricant products. Under the contract, SAIC will provide design-build services to construct a new Benzene Saturation Unit at HollyFrontier's Woods Cross, Utah site. The project will bring the existing refinery into EPA compliance with current Mobile Source Air Toxics (MSAT) II requirements.
