SAIC Awarded $10 Million Task Order by U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)
Company to Provide Software Development Support to SEC's Office of Information Technology OIT)
McLEAN, Va., Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) today announced it was awarded a task order by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to provide software development and technical services in support SEC's Office of Information Technology (OIT). The follow-on contract has a one year base period of performance, two one-year options, and a total value of $10 million, if both options are exercised. Work will be performed primarily in Alexandria, Va. The task order was awarded under SEC's IT Professional Services blanket purchase agreement.
The SEC protects investors, maintains fair, orderly, and efficient markets, and facilitates capital formation. SEC's OIT supports the commission and staff of the SEC in all aspects of information technology (IT). It has overall management responsibility for the commission's IT program, and also operates the Electronic Data Gathering Analysis and Retrieval (EDGAR) system, which electronically receives, processes, and disseminates more than 500,000 financial statements every year. Under the task order, SAIC will support the OIT with software services in areas including development, enhancement, and maintenance. SAIC will also support SEC's development and production environment by performing application development, production support, process management, system integration and maintenance in support of web-enabled, client-server applications.
