Saia Gains Competitive Edge, Mobilizes Fleet Using AT&T Mobility Solutions

JOHNS CREEK, Ga., Oct. 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Saia LTL Freight, a trucking and logistics company, is using a suite of AT&T* Advanced Mobility Solutions to simplify work processes and save money. With rugged mobile devices, M2M technology and network services from AT&T, Saia can better manage its fleet of trucks at the terminal or in the field.

Saia drivers use rugged handheld computers to quickly connect with dispatch managers and fleet operations. Additionally, the AT&T wireless network is embedded in Saia's black box solution that allows for trucks to provide near real-time updates on fuel consumption, and driver and engine performance. With this and the monitoring of the maintenance, safety, dispatch and location of vehicles, Saia has seen significant reduction in operational costs.
