BALTIMORE, July 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Sagamore Spirit announced today that it is donating 100 percent of all proceeds from its newest limited release rye whiskey to Ellicott City Partnership's (ECP) flood relief and rebuilding efforts. The Baltimore-based company's neighbor experienced catastrophic flash floods this spring, devastating the area for the second time in two years. Proceeds from the entire supply of Sagamore Spirit's new Cognac Finish rye whiskey — an estimated 1,000 bottles — will be provided directly to ECP. The limited time offering product will be available for purchase solely at the Baltimore distillery.
"We want our friends and neighbors in Ellicott City to know that we stand with them. We've witnessed their strength and perseverance firsthand, and wanted to help the best way we know how, and help build the future that everyone who lives and works there deserves," said Brian Treacy, President of Sagamore Spirit.
"We thank Sagamore Spirit for believing in Ellicott City and for reaching out with this very special offer of support," said Heather Gaetano, Ellicott City Partnership board member. "We are truly humbled by this and the many acts of generosity from all across the country that are helping with the relief and recovery of our beloved town."
Cognac Finish is the latest release from the award-winning distillery that is restoring Maryland's rightful place in America's rich whiskey heritage. It is distinctly expressive at 105-proof, revealing notes of spice, honey, almond, and vanilla from its time spent in fine French cognac barrels.
Priced at $70 per bottle, Cognac Finish will be available for purchase beginning July 10 at its waterfront distillery's gift shop at 301 E. Cromwell St. in Baltimore. For hours of operation, directions and other information, please visit www.SagamoreSpirit.com.

About Sagamore Spirit
Sagamore Spirit opened its award-winning five-acre waterfront distillery campus in Baltimore in April 2017. Since then, over 30,000 guests have visited the campus and tasted the brand's 18-time award-winning rye whiskies. Each batch of whiskey is made with pure spring-fed Maryland water. The distillation team blends two different rye mash bills – a high rye and a low rye – and then adds limestone-filtered spring water transported 22 miles from Sagamore Farm, to create an 83 proof Maryland-style rye whiskey. 100 percent of Sagamore Rye is cut to proof with this distinct water. Sagamore Spirit also offers a Cask Strength whiskey that is 112 – 114 proof. Sagamore Spirit is committed to inspiring a global passion for Maryland Rye Whiskey.
