SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 17, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- SafeBreach, provider of the leading Breach and Attack Simulation (BAS) platform to validate security controls, visualize security risk and prioritize remediations, today announced that Ken Smith has joined the company as Chief Revenue Officer. Smith has 25+ years of experience as a sales and revenue leader at both fast growing start-up companies (Lithium, Alfresco) and publicly traded technology companies (Fireeye, Adobe, EMC).
He has deep expertise in all aspects of revenue generation and more than a decade of experience developing winning go-to-market strategies for cybersecurity products and SaaS companies. At FireEye, Smith drove significant growth across his enterprise teams for 5+ years helping the company attain over $900M in revenue while doubling the number of customers.
"Ken is an impressive sales and revenue leader with an exceptional track record of building revenue machines that lead to hypergrowth," says SafeBreach CEO Guy Bejerano. "Ken's drive to deliver operational excellence is relentless and he knows how to take a company to the next level and beyond. We are lucky to have him on our team."
"I am thrilled to join SafeBreach as they enter a new and exciting stage. BAS is one of the fastest growing categories of cybersecurity and SafeBreach provides unique capabilities that enterprises will need to keep their infrastructure, employees and operations safe from the increasing threat of sophisticated cyberattacks," says Smith. "I look forward to building a world-class sales and revenue team and working closely with our channel and partners to create a culture of revenue excellence at SafeBreach."
Joining after SafeBreach's successful series C funding round, Smith will build the company's long term growth strategy, revenue and expand the sales team with new hires while taking the marketing-leading BAS platform into new markets and channels. He joins SafeBreach at a time of rapid customer growth driven by strong organic market demand for BAS and increasing awareness that BAS is the missing link for optimizing existing security controls and maintaining a robust security posture even in the most dynamic infrastructure environments. Over the past six months, SafeBreach has established partnerships with many leading technology and cybersecurity companies, including Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks, SentinelOne, Blackberry Cylance, Splunk and others, validating the importance of BAS to CISOs, CIOs and security teams. With a team of technologists that regularly identifies critical security vulnerabilities and presents at leading conferences like Black Hat North America, SafeBreach strives to remain on the cutting edge of cybersecurity and deliver the most comprehensive simulation engine to some of the world's largest and most innovative companies.
